Mezalluna – Anyway you slice the salad?
The chopper will slice your salad ingredients into bite-sized pieces. It is a satisfying process to watch all the ingredients chosen for the salad bowl will be prepared and chopped by the ‘choppers’ using a ‘Mezalluna‘ in front of you. They will ask for your preference: whether to add salt & pepper and type of salad dressing (you can mix more than one dressing in your bowl). Once the chopping process is finished, they will mix the ingredients together with your fresh dressing of choice and you can the flavourful fresh ingredients in every bite.
Expansion of the salad bars in the pipeline – Location
If you are familiar with German Doner Kebab, then you’d be surprised to know that this fresh, fast, healthy, food-to-go and dine-in concept originates from the Hero Brands group. This salad-focused brand Choppaluna ignores the pandemic and plans for aggressive expansions across the UK, in the following location:
- Manchester;
- Birmingham; and
- London
Reviews
Here’s my reviews –
Desi Chicken Big-roll (9/10):
Tender chunks of marinated chargrilled tikka chicken in a creamy piri piri dressings is so perfect that it makes the turmeric roll explode with flavour! Also, mangoes go surprisingly well with the sweet cherry tomatoes! –
Thai prawn bowl (8.5/10): I’d highly recommend you to go for their recommended spicy peanut-ginger dressing. Encounter a fun flavour twist with fresh grated ginger slices! This salad bowl is undeniably delicious and eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring indeed!
Upgrade your meal!
We also got their homemade smoothies: blue velvet and purple rain & snack pots: coconut chia and cream berry yoghurt! Each of the chopped bowl or big roll costs £5.99, upgrade ur meal to include a snack pot and homemade drink by adding £1.99!
