Freshly ground coffee, fluffy pancakes from @abraco!!

Abraco – independently owned cafe

If you’re looking for a nice brunch spot and are keen to support an independently owned cafe, then look no further than Abraco. I took an overground tube to the Haringey Green Lane station, @abraco is located just a few stones away (2 minutes walk) from the station.

I arrived at the store around 12:00 noon and they are already packed with customers! They are quite famous within the neighbourhood with groups of people coming in to get their brunch sorted. They also don’t mind wandering around the park close by whilst waiting for their seats. Excellent customer service and I like their extremely friendly staff.

Opening hours

Abraco is opened for dine-in EVERDAY from 7 am to 7 pm; apart from Friday and Saturday where they operate till 9 pm.

Here’s my review:

Fluffy pancakes (£7.90) (8.5/10)

Layers of pancakes, maple syrup or honey, berries, banana, nuts, clotted cream These pancakes definitely live up to their name. It’s soft, fluffy and tastes like cloud .

The stack is aesthetically pleasing, topped with various berries and edible flower petals. I like to pair each bite with berries & nutella as it’s refreshing & ain’t too sweet.

Tower Burger (£11.90) (9/10)

Curly fries (£3.50) (9/10)

Homemade 6oz beef brisket Pattie, cheddar cheese, caramelised onions, lettuce, gherkin, sauce , chips.

Giant, meaty, juicy DOUBLE BEEF PATTIES burger, what else could I ask for?! It’s one of the best gigantic burgers I’ve had in my entire life. The meat is well-marinated, flavourful and covered nicely with melting cheese . The brioche buns are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I’ve upgraded my meal by adding curly fries (£3.50) and will highly recommend you to do the same.

Their fries are crunchy, crispy even after I’ve left it till the end of my meal!

Eggs Benedict (English Muffin) (£7.50) (7.5/10)

Poached egg with Hollandaise sauce served with rocket garnish.

Slice the egg into half and instantly get the runny yolk overflowing from top…. It’s another beautifully homemade cuisine with poached egg sitting on top of the avocado, followed by brioche bread. They’re also generous with the egg benedict’s sauce.

Frappe with coffee (£3.90) (8/10)

It’s ain’t sweet at all. Decent coffee. My bf is a coffee lover and rate this highly.

Organic Matcha Latte (£3.00) + Japanese soy milk (£0.30) (8/10)

They recommended us to go with Japanese soy milk. Again, it never fails to surprise me! Strong Matcha flavour but it does not overpower the soy milk. I like the fact that it’s not too sweet at all. I specially requested for their iconic “eye” latte art. The staff is very friendly and accommodating for my request.

Conclusion

Price: £10-15 pp

Rating: 8.5/10

Worth revisit?: YAS If you wanted to support the local business, make sure to visit @abraco_ ! Everything is homemade from scratch and it’s really tasty and delightful! Mark my words!
