Ivy restaurant series – Ivy Market Grill
Ivy Market Grill
This is the second Ivy restaurant I’ve visited in the UK. I was invited to a “last-minute” deal lunch last week, literally received a phone call 1 hour before the lunch because someone else can’t make it! Despite having tonnes of deadlines to deal with but girl, u gonna set the priorities right! I set up out of office email & told the directors I’m going out for a deal lunch before signing out from Skype!!
Here are my reviews on Ivy Market Grill:
Starter: The Ivy Cube Smoked Salmon (£9.50): Black pepper, lemon & dark rye bread (7/10)
Squeeze’em all lemon juice on ur smoked salmon ~ i can literally swallow the salmon pieces without chewing it, with a balanced taste of salty & sour that was just nice for me!
Main: Lobster Linguine (£29.95): Tomato & chilli sauce with San Marzanino Tomatoes, Parsley & Spring Onion! (6.5/10)
Sorry to say but this taste just alright for me. It doesn’t impress me with its tomato-based pasta . You can ask for Parmesan cheese to add more flavours though. It might be a fat hope for me to request for more lobster!!
Dessert: Chocolate bombe (£9.50): (7/10)
who doesn’t fancy interactive food! The waiter came and pour the hot chocolate sauce al over the chocolate ball and the outer shell started to melt… it’s a little bit sweet for me but I love the whole experience
Rating: 7/10
:££- £££
Worth revisit: probably nope atm unless someone else set up another deal lunch at this restaurant!
Equipment: I took all the photos above using Sony Alpha 7 II | Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera.
