Revolutionising fast food by replacing it with healthy meal ft. Aloha Poke

AD 🍣 Aloha Poke 🍣

When people talk about fast food, it’s almost always linked to junk food. Hence, Aloha Poke takes pride in revolutionising fast food by providing quick healthy poke bowl that is full of nutrient. Aloha Poke came all the way from its humble beginning as a food stall in Chicago train station to London.

What’s even better, their poke bowl can be specially customised to accommodate different needs of vegan, raw, paleo, keto etc.

✨ Here’s my review ✨

Poke bowl

1️⃣ Aloha Poke
💰 £9.75
🌟 8.5/10

You will get huge portion of rice laid at the bottom of the bowl which is then filled with sushi-grade salmon (very fresh), edamame, avocado and sweet mango. They pour Shoyu on top of the rice to make it tastes saltier.

I like their chilli mayo sauce – which goes perfectly with the fresh salmon. Their spring onion is crisp and fresh too. It’s definitely one of the top poke bowls I have had across London, as compared to the Island Poke, Honi Poke, You me Sushi and Sushi Dogs. You have to try this bowl – their salmon portion is huge and cut in cube sizes. It’s really scrumptious.

2️⃣ Mahi Mango Prawns (Signature Poke Bowl)
💰 £9.75
🌟 7.5/10

This is a poke bowl, by default, filled with Rice,
Mahi Mango Prawns, Edamame, Cucumber, Spring Onions, Sweet Peppers, Mahi Mango dressing.

Their house dressings enhances the whole flavour and their sushi rice is well-seasoned. I prefer the first bowl over this given only 4 prawns are given for this bowl. If you’re a prawn lover, then try this bowl. It’s delicious but I would rather pay the same price for their aloha poke.

Sides

3️⃣ Shrimp Tempura (4 pcs)
💰 £8.00
🌟 7.5/10

Shrimp tempura served with sweet chilli and onions. Their batter is a bit too thick when it’s dipped with shrimp as I h their coating is less crisp. Overall, it’s delicious. They could have done this better!

4️⃣Takoyaki Octopus Balls (4 pcs)
💰 £6.50
🌟 8/10

They make this takoyaki octopus balls taste really local and authentic. Chopped octopus being wrapped into a ball shape topped with okonomi sauce. You’ll not be disappointed by this dish if you’re huge takoyaki fan.

Drinks

5️⃣ Tropical Bliss
💰 £5.50
🌟 8/10

All of their smoothies made to order with fresh ingredients, no added sugar or preservatives and vegan. We got a mix of mango, pineapple, banana in milk. Love it’s creamy texture and it makes us feel full.

6️⃣ Oreo Milkshake
💰 £5.00
🌟 8/10

Oreo classic blended with Icecream & milk. Their milkshake is thick and smooth with strong Oreo flavours. Yum!

Conclusion

🤩Rating: 8/10
💷 Price: ££
