AD šŸ  For codā€™s Hake šŸ

Paul starts running For codā€™s hake since Nov 2021 last year. Prior to starting his new venture, he has been a chef who is specialised in seafood cuisines with more than 20 years of experience in various restaurants and hotels in the UK and Australia.

You can definitely trust the seafood served from this store is well-handled. You can get more than just a basic fish and chips as they innovated their side dishes to include Korean-inspired fried calamari etc to connect with the new generations who has been exposed to international cuisines.

āœØHereā€™s my reviewāœØ

1ļøāƒ£ Sides

šŸ§€Lobster Mac & cheese bites
šŸ’° Ā£ 6.00
šŸŒŸ 7.5/10

Lobster mac and cheese, breaded & fried
with Old Bay mayo & lemon.

Itā€™s a double winning point when you combine both lobster and Mac & cheese in a fried dough ball. Itā€™s delicious isnā€™t subtle lemony taste in the sauce. One of the most popular products on the menu that keeps being sold out.

šŸ¦‘ Korean Fried Calamari “KFC”
šŸ’° Ā£ 6.00
šŸŒŸ 8/10

Fried calamari, gochujang glaze, sesame
seeds, pickled chillies, lime & garlic mayo

Aaa a huge fan of Korean fried chicken, I canā€™t emphasise how Paul has made the sauce so right. The calamari is lightly breaded and fried which keeps its original chewy texture. Their calamari is freshly sourced.

2ļøāƒ£ Main

šŸ¦ž Lobster Roll
šŸ’° Ā£ 15.00
šŸŒŸ 8.5/10

Chopped lobster & craytish, garlic mayo
chipotle tabasco, lettuce, chives and
spring onions in a brioche sub roll.

They give generous chopped lobster and craytish fillings which are well-seasoned. Canā€™t emphasis how fresh are the seafood. One point to improve is they could have lightly toasted their brioche bun and spread with butter to make it more flavourful.

šŸ  Fish & Chips
šŸ’° full size Ā£ 13 // half-size Ā£6.50
šŸŒŸ 8/10

Battered fried catch of the day, homemade tartar sauce, scampi salt chips, lemon and dill.

British classic fish and chips – their fish is fresh and I love their texture which is not over-cooked. Their chips are crispy and crunchy. Dip them into their homemade tartar sauce to level up your enjoyment of the dish.
