Sunday Roast in a burrito? Ft. Yorkshire Burrito
AD 🌯 Yorkshire Burrito 🌯
Sunday roast is considered as one of the most recognised classic British cuisines across the globe. Imagine having to enjoy your favourite roast/ comfort food in a fluffy Yorkshire pudding burrito, would you be willing to try this in another form?
That’s right, Yorkshire Burrito has been transforming Sunday roast into a British street food since 2015 at Camden Market. Their queue is so long even before they opened their store at 12pm during the weekend. Let’s check this out with me to see if it’s worth the hype.
✨ Here’s my review ✨
1️⃣ Beef Burrito
💰 £11.00
🌟 7.5/10
(+) extra cheese
(+) extra gravy pot £1.00
They first heat up the Giant Yorkshire pudding on top of their rectangular cooking pan. It’s stuffed with sage and onion spread. They then squeeze mini roast potatoes before placing it on top together with soft braised beef, spinach and finally drizzled with gravy sauce. We asked for extra cheese and it definitely spice up the whole burrito.
I tried the one without cheese before which tastes just fine but the presence of cheese totally changed the whole game and makes everything tasted 100 times better!
2️⃣ Chicken Burrito
💰 £9.00
🌟 8.5/10
I definitely prefer their chicken over beef burrito (smh). Apart from replacing the beef with their well roasted chicken mixed with honey, black pepper, lemon and thyme, all the remaining ingredients remain unchanged.
Their chicken is so tender and juicy. The extra gravy sauce makes the whole burritos so much more flavourful – definitely get extra gravy to treat yourself.
Conclusion
🤩Rating: 8/10
💷 Price: ££
🎯Worth revisit: YAS👏 Worth trying it at least once when you’re in the UK – classic brith food in a Yorkshire pudding. Though, bearing in mind that it’s being priced at the higher end £10 for a burrito💰
