Childhood Chicken Rice ft Seng Kee Chicken Rice

Review š²š¾āØSeng Kee Chicken RiceāØ
Our favourite takeaway to have after every tuition class has always been chicken rice ordered from a small hawker stall, āSeng Keeā, that has been established in 1991.
Seng Kee is a family-run restaurant that has been serving chicken rice for 30 years. Itās a must-have dish to try whenever I came back to Malaysia.
āØHereās my reviewāØ
1ļøā£1 pax Steamed chicken rice box
š8/10
š°RM6.50
I definitely prefer steamed chicken over roasted chicken. The texture of the chicken thigh and drumstick is really soft and tender; with silky smooth skin. The chicken rice is cooked using chicken broth and gives out the fragrant taste of chicken. Itās simple yet delicious.

2ļøā£1 pax Roasted chicken rice
š 7/10
š°RM6.50
Some people might prefer chicken breast over the chicken thigh, but Iām the latter. The chicken skin is perfectly roasted and well-marinated. This plate of chicken rice is flavourful and uncomplicated. It comes with a bowl of soup š² and free chili sauce.
3ļøā£Curry fish head
š 7/10
š°RM38
The fish head is cooked in an aromatic and light curry base in a clay pot, together with assorted vegetables. I love drenching my chicken rice with several spoonfuls of curry sauce. Itās really spicy š¶ that I canāt really handle it without finishing sipping my water.

4ļøā£ Ipoh Bean Sprout Small
š 7.5/10
š°RM10
The bean sprout is blanched. Itās crunchy and fresh. I canāt believe I managed to finish the whole plate by myself!
