Daifuku mochi 草莓大福
What is Daifuku Mochi?
Daifuku or Daifuku mochi is a kind of Japanese sweets (a.k.a. wagashi). It is a stuffed mochi, consisted of, various fruits (commonly filled with strawberries) and sweet red bean paste (anko). Daifuku is my favourite Japanese snack of all time. It is best served with a warm cup of green tea.
It’s definitely a trend for the homemaker to make daifuku mochi at home. Again, you only need to take less than half an hour to make a whole batch of daifuku mochi! You can later keep the mochi in the fridge and enjoy for a whole week.
Extremely regretful for not getting myself any mochi dessert from the new mochi bar at @japan.centre ; I decided to replicate this at home and made a few batches of strawberry mochi (daifuku) at home. Honestly, it is one of the beginner’s friendly dessert and doesn’t require much skills to make a beautiful red bean mochi! If I can do it, you can too!
If you’re looking to take beautiful photographs of ur mochi baby, I would recommend you to keep your final product refrigerated for half an hour before cutting into half! check out my recipes below!
