Crispy Roasted Duck Ft. You Kee XO Restaurant
Review 🇲🇾✨ You Kee XO Restaurant (有记XO烧腊之家)
You Kee XO Restaurant is yet another my go-to restaurant that mum has brought us here for lunch for more than 3 times a week. Two giant urns located at the front step of its restaurant is its famous landmark to boil herbal soup for 15 hours.
✨Here’s my review✨
1️⃣ XO Signature Roasted Duck, Crystal BBQ Pork Belly Char Siu (8/10)
The portion looks a bit large as we added extra lo-mein noodles and Char Siu for sharing between two person.
Roasted duck is well-marinated and the duck meat is nicely cooked. I’m so in love with its wafer-thin skin that is crispy yet not overpowering the tender meat beneath the skin.
The caramelized char siu perfectly balanced between the layer of charred and juicy portion. I can’t stop myself from bringing few other packs of charsiu home. The meat is extremely tender.
2️⃣ Tofu Slices (7/10)
Fresh tofu slices dipped in their special sauce. Love the extra protein intake for my day.
3️⃣ Crispy pork roll (6.5/10)
I used to really love this when i was young but I’m no longer impressed by the dish. I suspect that my taste buds might have been altered for being too long away from home!! You need to dip the top with chilli sauce to make it tastes better!
Conclusion
🤩 Rating: 7.2/10
💷 Price: £
🎯Worth revisit: YAS 👏 if you’re looking for flavourful crispy skin with tender duck meat, this is the place to visit!
