Italian Pasta Favourites in London ft. Miscusi

AD 🍝 Miscusi 🍝

Since opening it’s first branch at Covent Garden in December 2021, Miscusi ride the wave of their global expansion and establish second branch in Islington in a matter of months.

The Italian Pasta Favourites allow you to customise your own pasta where you can select the types of spaghetti, pasta sauce and extra toppings to your plate.

✨ Here’s my review ✨

1️⃣ Starters

🧀 Burrata
💰 £8.50
🌟 8/10

A gorgeous burrata served with chopped tomatoes, pesto powder and a plate of toasted sourdough bread. This is probably one of the best starters I’ve ever tried – a great mix of milk and mozzarella cheese in the burrata. Love how this is paired with fresh tomatoes to freshen up your tastebuds in case it gets too creamy. Their tomatoes are juicy, sweet and crisp and I can’t help to finish the whole plate.

🍆 Eggplant parmigiana
💰 £8.50
🌟 7/10

Delicious eggplant cooked in red tomato sauce and served with toasted sourdough bread.

🥖 Bruschette Tricolore-
💰 £5.50
🌟 7/10

You will be served with three bruschetta, each of which is topped with chopped tomatoes (fresh & juicy), basil pesto and burrata spread.

2️⃣ Mains

🍝 Cacio Pepe Prawn Tartare
💰 £14.50
🌟 7/10

A plate of beautifully crafted spaghetti served with pecorino Romano and sicilian prawn tartare. It’s creamy and delicious but you have to pair every bite with the toppings as the pasta itself could be a bit bland. The pasta is served lukewarm though.

🍝 Paccheri Tricolore
💰 £11.50
🌟 7/10

Red-based pasta made up of durum wheat Paccheri, burrata, pistachio sauce. It’s yummy especially when you mixed it with extra Parmesan cheese. The pasta could get cold easily as it’s left aside for photoshooting purpose. Without any toppings, again the pasta could taste flat or bland.

3️⃣ Desserts

🍰 Tiramisu
💰 £6.50
🌟 7/10

This totally blew me away! I really like their layers of coffee-flavoured sponge cake filled with mascarpone cheese. The cake melts in my mouth instantly.

🎂 Dark chocolate cheesecake
💰 £6.50
🌟 8/10

Their desserts are both good. There are three distinct layers for this cake: dark chocolate sauce that covers the top, cheesecake mixed with pieces of pear in the middle and biscuit at the bottom. It‘s beyond divine.

Conclusion

🤩Rating: 7/10
💷 Price: ££
🎯Worth revisit: YAS 👏 Esp it allows you to customise ur own pasta! 🤨!
