Humble crumble is the world’s first crumble bar located in @oldspitalfieldsmarket and @boroughmarket, serving artisan crumbles in various creative toppings.
We specially planned our weekend to allocate some time to visit the insta-famous humble crumble. We arrived at Old Spitalfields Market around 3.45pm and there were already super long queue in front of this cute pink store. We queued for around 10- 20 minutes patiently to wait for our turn to place our order. So many people are staring at this gorgeous goodie when I brought it away from the counter – it’s eye catching!

1️⃣ Cherry Bakewell 🍒

We tried their Valentine’s special – Cherry Bakewell which is slightly pricey compared to their usual dessert available on the menu.
This is made up of dark sweet cherries filled up the bottom of the paper bowl, followed by a layer of almond shortbread crumble, mixed with vanilla custard and finally topped with a rose marshmallow bouquet.
I was later told by my friends that you can actually switch their ratio between crumbles and cherry 🍒. I can rarely scoop up any crumbles as the cup was 90% filled with cherry compotes. Overall, it doesn’t taste too sweet surprisingly unlike other dessert. It’s delicious and I like the combination of crumbles & custard – cherry compotes taste rather sour yet it balanced out the overall sweet taste. Yummmm ✨

🎯Worth revisit: YAS 👏 it’s a rare gem to find a London hotspot that serves pretty dessert with decent taste. Check it out!
