Flour & Grape is an Italian restaurant that serves fresh handmade pasta 🍝 , small plates and Italian wines on Bermondsey Street.

This restaurant is always busy but don’t be scared by the long queue. You definitely do not want to miss this affordable fresh handmade pasta 🍝! Love their service as you’ll be served with complimentary still or sparkling water as soon as you’re seated.

If you wanna avoid the long wait, my top tip is for you to arrive at the restaurant 15 minutes before it opens. I visited the store around 11.45 am on Saturday and there were only 3 people lined up in front of me. The restaurant is full of people after c.15 – 20 minutes of itsopening. You can always use the walked up app if you’re within the right radius away from the restaurant.

1️⃣ Taglierini (v)
💰 £13.50
🌟 9/10

Taglierini is served with truffle, butter emulsion and topped with Parmesan. This is one of the mind-blowingly best truffle pasta I ever had. It’s not merely a dash of truffle oil splashed in your pasta as I can even bite real truffle pieces in my pasta. It tastes excellent, simple but rich in buttery and truffley flavour though it’s almost a little too oily.

2️⃣ Spaghetti Carbonara
💰 £10.50
🌟 8.5/10

It’s a carbonara pasta with a rich confit egg yolk placed in the middle of your noodles. It’s truly delicious but I had a few bites which are too salty for my liking but it could be the case that I didn’t mix the noodles well enough for the salt to be spread through the spaghetti.

🎯Worth revisit: YAS 👏 one of the best homemade pasta spots that you must visit in London 🇬🇧!
