It’s an experience that you have to try the Ritz at least once in a lifetime.

Looking for a romantic place to impress your partner during Valentine’s Day? Bringing them over to The Ritz will never be a wrong decision. Indulge in the finest British afternoon tea at one of the most luxurious hotel’s former Ballroom located in The Ritz Club.

This year, the Ritz has shut down “the Palm Court” temporarily for a major refurbishment to take place. Nonetheless, the grand “Ballroom” is equally elegant, lavishly decorated and fully carpeted.

My boyfriend rang the Ritz several times every week to book for a slot before the price hikes (+£5) on 1st April. There is a lot of availability on weekdays but the weekend is fully booked until April. The trick is to be perseverant and don’t give up on calling them once in a few days to check whether any slots have been released. A lot of people might cancel their reservation 48 hours before the day.

I’ve specifically requested the waiter to repeat the menu for me so that I can write it down for you to know what to expect from the afternoon tea at the Ritz!

✨ Here’s what I tried✨

1️⃣ Tea cakes
Peanut buttercream and salted caramel choux

Orange and vanilla with rum
Spiced pear mousse with cinnamon

2️⃣ Sandwiches
Ham and mustard
Chicken breast with mayonnaise
Cucumber with cream cheese.
Smoked salmon
Egg mayo
Carrot cake

3️⃣ Scones
Original flavour
Scones with raisin

3️⃣ Cakes
Coffee cake
Carrot cake

4️⃣ Tea
Passion fruit & Orange
Dragon Pearls

Conclusion

🤩Rating: 8/10
💷 Price: ££££ (Total bill: £140 for 2 people including tax & service charges)
🎯Worth revisit: YAS 👏 I’d say you have to experience this at least once in your lifetime. Relax and immerse into the lavishly decorated grand ball room, whilst enjoying the lovely afternoon tea cakes.
