Soft and Fluffy Japanese Souffle pancakes Ft. Fuwa Fuwa

New opening 🇬🇧✨Fuwa Fuwa✨

I was strolling around @chinatownlondon last weekend to buy some groceries back home to prep for CNY! I stumbled across Fuwa Fuwa in soho and was a little bit surprised as I don’t know they have finally established their presence in Chinatown!

What a surprise! I decided to join the queue and waited for around 15-20 minutes before I get a seat to try this pancake.

Too bad, unlike in their Brunswick branch, their pancakes do not come in a plate with the sauce filled inside a round plastic cylinder for you to pull it out – which looks so good in reel!

✨Here’s my review✨

1️⃣ Biscoff Pancakes
💰 £7.50 for eat-in and £9.00 for takeaway
🌟 7.5/10

As a huge fan of biscoff pancakes, now that I’ve tried both hefaure and fuwa fuwa, let me do a comparison here. I would rank this pancake behind hefauré because of two reasons:
(i) Price point
it is £1 – £2.50more pricey than hefauré but both of their pancakes are on par with each other.
(ii) Biscoff Jam
From memories, biscoff jam from hefaure is rather thicker. I think it’s more akin to biscoff sauce (slightly diluted with other ongredients in the mixture) for what I’ve had in fuwa fuwa. This is not a criticism but rather a matter of my own preference to have authentic thick biscoff jam on my pancakes.
(Iii) Presentation
Similar topping with biscoff biscuit but you get 2additional slices of strawberry and some cream in fuwa fuwa. I’d really like to revisit its Brunswick branch as the pancakes are served in plates rather than paper container!!
