Basta is a food stall that offers Mediterranean cuisine at Camden Market since 2018. If you’re looking for authentic Mediterranean flavours, make sure to check out this falafel & grill heaven at the heart of Camden.

✨Here’s my review✨

MAINS

1️⃣ Falafel
💰 Dish £10.00 /Pita £8.50
🌟 8/10

First try on falafel and it did not disappoint me at all. Falafel is a staple Middle Eastern dish – made up of ground chickpeas and broad beans, which is then shaped into a ball and finally deep-fried. It is served with chopped salads and homemade hummus.

Pair their signature falafel with fresh salads is a perfect match. Their falafel has crunchy texture and I like their savoury and grainy taste. Hummus is creamy and garlicky with mayonnaise-like texture. It’s delicious!

2️⃣ Shawarma
💰 Dish £11.50 /Pita £10.00
🌟 8.5/10

Shawarma is another Middle Eastern street food classic that is made up of grilled chicken marinated in warm spices. The meat is shaved off from the revolving pit for the dish.

Again, it’s paired with fresh salad and hummus. It’s an exquisite taste of turkey which is also oOzing with umami flavours.

SIDES (£4.50 each or 3 for £12)

3️⃣ French Fries 🌟 8.5/10
4️⃣ Sweet Potatoes 🌟 8.5/10

5️⃣ Fried Aubergine 🌟 8.5/10

All of their sides come in huge portion and is fried to perfection. Out of those three sides, my favourite is the fried aubergine which is juicy and succulent despite of being slightly oily. I prefer sweet potato fries but all of the fries 🍟 remain crunchy and crispy till the end of my meal.

Check it out! 🙂

Conclusion
